Dylan Cole grew up in Melbourne, Australia. At the age of 15 he entered the national underage comedy competition Class Clowns and went on to claim 2nd Place in two National Finals in 2004 & 2006.
With friends at university he formed silly & absurdist sketch group Wizard Sandwiches and then branched out to write, produce and perform his critically acclaimed solo work in theatres & festivals around the world.
Cole is now known for his unique style, a combination of theatre, comedy and fictional storytelling. He writes intelligent, witty and poignant pieces and puts it the hand of playful, neurotic characters.
Coles's recent work Blank Tiles, in which he plays a SCRABBLE World Champion suffering from Alzheimer's disease has been frequently described by critics as intelligent, hilarious and moving. It had a sold out season in the 2017 Adelaide Fringe & Edinburgh Festival Fringe Festivals and earned multiple 5-star reviews.
His latest show It all sparks joy premiered in the 2019 Melbourne Fringe and went on to play at Gluttony in the 2020 Adelaide Fringe.
He is currently writing two new shows to premiere at the end of 2020
